American Sewing Guild (ASG): First Thursday of the month, 10:00 a.m. to noon
ASG is a national organization which promotes sewing as a life skill. The local neighborhood group of the local ASG chapter meets at Esther’s the first Thursday of the month from 10:00 – noon. Visitors are always welcome.

Clothing and Textile Advisors Program of WSU Extension (CTA). This is one group which benefits from donations of fabric and related supplies many of you have dropped off at Esther’s. These items are gratefully received by CTA members who use it to teach 4-H sewing programs including an annual quilting camp in Silverdale. (Esther’s accepts fabric donations at any time which we pass on to several worthy causes.)

American Hero Quilts: Third Thursday of the month, 7 – 9- p.m.
Started by Sue Nebeker, a quilter on Vashon Island, WA, American Hero Quilts strives to gift every injured serviceman and woman at Madigan Army Hospital in Tacoma, WA, with a handmade quilt. These quilts, from the hands and hearts of their makers, are gratefully received and cherished by all who receive them. To date over 9,000 quilts have been delivered. At Esther’s, we work on American Hero Quilts the third Thursday evening of the month from 7 – 9 p.m. Anyone with basic sewing experience is welcome to join us. Fabric and instruction is provided. Fearless Quilters: Fourth Monday of the month
The quilters from Rolling Bay Presbyterian meet to quilt, learn to quilt, and support all quilting efforts. Anyone is welcome to join them; bring your sewing machine and a quilt project, if you have one started.
